SPIE Photonics West, February 7 – 12, 2015

Printed Optics at Photonics West
Photonics west, organized by the international society for optics and photonics, is to be held in February next year. As always, the Photonics West event, promises to be extreme in every way.
Not only is it one of the biggest optics and photonics events worldwide by visitor count. Also the amount of exhibitors is record breaking, with no less than 1500 exhibitors already registered for the 2015 version.

SPIE has started to lay it’s focus on imaging optics so photographers and camera manufacturers are always well represented, but throughout the years biomedical optics development was added to the exhibitor space as well as high power laser manufacturing, micro manufacturing and green photonics.

LUXeXceL will be present at photonics west for the first time in 2015 to introduce their improved manufacturing method for printed optics.

LUXeXceL developed printoptical technology which was commercially launched begin 2009. This technology allows for the additive manufacturing of optics by 3D printing clear resin.
The resin is a UV curable liquid acrylic that is placed on a base material such as PMMA. The natural flow of each droplet creates a perfectly smooth surface before the material is cured using UV light.

LUXeXceL already did various launch moments on comparable events in Europe such as LED professional symposium, LIGHT+BUILDING Frankfurt, and Optatec. One of the next scheduled moments will be “Invest in Photonics Bordeaux”  set at the end of october 2014.

Now in 2015, printed optics will come to the Photonics West event. LUXeXceL will be releasing their latest material developments and technology progress.
