Emma Verloop

As member of the IAB for SET Ventures Emma brings specific expertise from investment management, business integrity and sustainable finance.

Emma is founder at Bricx, a firm providing support in CSR, sustainability issues and impact investing. The firm’s focus is on impact investment and evaluation, strategy, responsible investment, partnerships (analysis and creation), business integrity and linking investors and donors with investment opportunities and projects with a focus on development finance and emerging markets.

Emma was previously an associate consultant in Emerging Markets Finance and ESG Management with Steward Redqueen. Her work focused on impact investment and evaluation, ESG strategy, responsible investment, environmental and social risk management and business integrity. She advised (financial) institutions and their clients on sustainability issues with a specific focus on development finance and emerging markets (Africa, Asia, and Latin America).

Prior to joining Steward Redqueen, Emma worked for Control Risks Benelux, PricewaterhouseCoopers, ABN AMRO Bank and Triodos Investment Management. She was involved in various investigatory as well as advisory projects for a wide range of international clients and as a micro-finance investment officer negotiated numerous deals with banks and finance institutions in emerging markets.

Emma obtained her MA in English Language and literature/International Relations from Utrecht University and a Diploma in Global Business from Saïd Business School, Oxford University.
